The amount of shots Onana's had to deal with is absolutely criminal. Yes he made mistakes early in the season but as the season wore on he got better & better. Statistically Onana is among the best in the Prem. Hopefully next season he won't get peppered with shots in every game.

Plus all these annoying DDG fanboys keep hating on him. Yet they seem to forget that DDG too was in a similar state in his first season for us. And even Onana wasn't as bad, he at least helped us win the cup even tho he should've saved Doku's shot.

Agreed. Because he played with the weak defense of the Premier league this season. Hopefully the club will strenghten the defense area next season as well as the attack.

@@BigSmokeMUFC You really compared DDG first season to Onana's? You forgot DeGea was only 20 when we signed him? Onana shouldn't be making those mistakes at 28... He'll do the same thing again next season and everyone will realize he's an average goalkeeper. The Inter defense made us think he was great. DeGea never conceded this much even when we had terrible defense

@@femiadesina7210 proof u have never watched a single Onana performance. Is it his fault the defence has been riddled with injuries? Sure he's has his howlers but the guy has kept us in many games and was one of the reasons we won the FA Cup. The Man Utd team that Onana plays for is mediocre in most games and doesn't know how to score goals, the fact he's even kept that many clean sheets while all these problems lure around us is still a miracle. DDG played for SAF's title winning team and still made howlers. Stop being a hater and just give Onana time. He will only become better.

did any notice the defensive blunders that led to some of the shots on Goal, at the time we would blame Onana but watching now we can see he did his best in those situations, but when the situation happens too often then there's nothing even two golies can do

More than his saves or foot play, his ability to just shrug off the hate and ridicule from the entire world is what's amazing about him, somewhat like Maguire made a strong come back. Truly the quality of players who knows and confident about what they can do.

The man has saved 3.9 goals per game. Just to compare Lunin has 2.3, Ter Stegen has 2.7 and Alison has 3. There were so many shots on his goal that any mistake he made was highlight massively
