This is the back 4 United should always play. Maguire needs to be stripped of his captain title and sold off to another club. Malacia despite being so young was able to fend off both Salah and Trent. This is really impressive from the youngster. Varane and Martinez, words can not explain how satisfying this duo is. This was their first time playing together and it felt as if they were playing together for years. High fiving each other with every tackle. This is the synergy United needed. And Dalot has gone under appreciated, he had one of the most important roles tonight. Keeping Luis Diaz back and he did just that. The first half, he was marking and denying Diaz repeatedly. Martinez is incredible at distributing the ball the the wingers, his ability to play long balls was very needed at United. And I never thought I would say this but even Mctominay had performed better than average, but his replacement Casemiro will be even greater. This is the United team we want, they must sustain this form if they want top 4

What I love about Erik ten Hag is that he has a steely, calculated determination about him, just like Sir Alex has. Erik takes no drama but in a really undramatic manner, we have the manager, now we just need decent owners!

Nobody is bigger then the team. The players have only just scratched the surface of what ETH can make them achieve. You ain't seen nothing yet, but remember that there will be times in the future where they play bad and they will lose. And at those times the players and the staff will need all the support they can get. I was shocked by some of the comments after the first two matches. Those aren't the real fans.
