Yes, when we play against low-block defenders one needs a Weghorst much more than a Martial. Weghorst's movements and looming presence open up spaces for our other attackers whereas Martial just seems to hang around somewhere, not really impacting the defensive organisation. Weghorst is returning to Burnley in a few months though so I wonder how ETH plans to build a fierce striking force for next season. We want Pellistri to stay because the lad obviously has skills and energy but he doesn't add the same physicality as Weghorst-type strikers.

form seeing him play for 10 odd years, this is exactly what he is. his humbleness is a bit of an act tho, a bit of crowd pleaser. he will be kissing the logo in no time.

Yeah..exactly mate! ETH brought him in so that he links up play and holds the ball really well for the speedy attack to run thru him and this creates spaces behind! And when he is in the box, he can utilise his height for headers and is quite a fox in the box too! Not much pace but works really hard as well! He needs time to adapt to the system ETH wants to use him in and once that clicks, i think he'll be an excellent option to have in our attack!

Dont worry. With his mentality,it wont effect him. He has grown up against all odds. His movement and game play is great,even in other games,it has been great. The only problem is that he is too dependable when he is on wings. But he will improve on that and will be a great player.

He sometimes do not play straight forward football, looses the ball in most cases, what is the point of dribbling a player when you will have to cut back again?

Same reason as Cristiano Ronaldo of 2003!! Lack coerciveness in his dribbles, passes and end product. There is lot of things he needs to improve. But he is in the right place to work on that.

Agreed. A great backup no. 9 imo, as Martial is always injured/unfit. Interested to see what ST/CF ETH wants as his main no. 9. Kane, Sesko, Osimhen, Tony or Goncalo

I don't mind that at all as long as we get a longterm striker like Osimhen, Vlahovic or Sesko in the summer. Wout and Martial (if fit) can be the super subs
