I've never known a player be more loved by the fans than Hughes. "Hughesie! Hughesie! Hughesie!" What a player! Not only did he score amazing goals but he would run through a brick wall for the sake of the team

Some decent strikers would have been satisfied to have scored at most 4 of the kind of goals on this video; But some guys like Hughes, Forlan and Le Tissier make it seem like they find it easier to score long range volleys and belters than tap ins

No word of a lie, i scored a copy of that number 1 goal on the same day, taking it round the keeper too far and having to belt it...then i saw Hughes on motd. Best Hughes goal was that scissors kick from edge of box..for Wales i think

It can be argued that Hughes's goal against Oldham which lead to us winning the FA cup that year saved Fergie. Without that, he might have been sacked and the glorious era of Premier league domination might never have happened!

Think u got it wrong. We won the prem the season before. You thinkink of the 89/90 season. The oldham goal was 93/94. We wint the fa cup league cup and cup winners cup previous so i think fergie was preety safe

Mark Robbins saved Fergusons bacon with a late winner against Forest in our successful 1990 fa cup run.Fergie was toast if there was no win that day.
